Arlington County Urges Vigilant Social Distancing

Some people are at higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19. This includes older adults and people with chronic medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes and lung disease. If you are at higher risk it is important for you to take action to reduce your risk of getting sick.
Arlington County Announces New COVID-19 Call Line. Community members who cannot find the information they need on the County’s website, or through other resources, should call 703-228-7999 for assistance. The call center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Arlington County Public Schools will remain closed through the end of the school year.
Free grab-n-go lunch/breakfast will be provided to kids 2-18 yrs old, Monday through Friday 11am-1pm, at Kenmore Middle School and Campbell Elementary School.

All Parks and Recreation programs, centers, services and activities are closed or canceled. Outdoor facilities are now closed as well. Running and bike trails remain open
All essential operations, including refuse/trash and recycling collection will continue.
Virginia Hospital Center Partners with Arlington County to Open COVID-19 Sample Collection Site. This site is for sample collection from symptomatic patients who have received a written order for COVID-19 testing from a licensed healthcare provider. Physicians can send orders to the Virginia Hospital Center outpatient lab electronically or via fax. Patients must schedule an appointment before visiting the collection site.
Many area grocery stores such as Safeway, Giant and Whole Foods are offering “Senior Shopping Hours”. Check with the individual stores, as hours and days vary.
