The Nominating Committee (Steve LeSueur, Barbara Martinez, and Kathy Reeder) present the following slate of candidates to lead the GCA for the coming year (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024), in accordance with Article V, Section 7 of the GCA bylaws. The election will take place at the May 1 GCA meeting.  As of April 10, we need nominees for secretary and one Arlington County Civic Federation (ACCF) delegate slot. The principal responsibilities of these positions are:

• The secretary attends GCA meetings and takes notes, summarizing
  the most important details of discussions for the record and for
  those who were not able to attend. Please note: There are only 8
  meetings a year and this position can be shared by two or more
  people.

• ACCF delegates have the opportunity to influence countywide
  decisions and priorities and make sure Glencarlyn’s voice is heard.
  The ACCF website (civfed.org) explains the organization’s history, objectives, structure and meeting schedule.

If any candidates for these positions express interest prior to the May 1
meeting, they will be added to the slate. Additional candidates for all
elected positions may be nominated “from the floor” at the meeting,
with the consent of the nominee.
