Glencarlyn at HistoryFest 250
On May 9 at Kenmore Middle School, the Arlington Historical Society will present Arlington HistoryFest 250, a free, one-day outdoor festival commemorating America’s 250th anniversary.
The event will run from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and feature live reenactments, musical performances and historical storytelling, hands-on demonstrations, children’s activities and crafts, local food vendors and more.
As one of the oldest communities in Northern Virginia, Glencarlyn is proud to be a participant in HistoryFest 250, with a table featuring information on our history, a vintage game, Glencarlyn trivia questions and more. But we need volunteers to meet and greet visitors at the table. We will also need help breaking down the table and canopy tent at the end of the event. If you’d like to get involved and become part of what promises to be a memorable celebration of our nation’s history, please use the Sign-up Genius to volunteer your help.
