The neighborhood’s biggest event will be held June 2nd and 3rd. Friday Night June 2nd is the Community BBQ at Carlin Hall at 6-8:30 pm, where we will provide the burgers, hotdogs, sides and beverages for a suggested donation of $10/person $30/family. There will be lots of new and exciting activities and games Saturday June 3rd begins with our traditional Pancake Breakfast at Shelter #2 in Glencarlyn Park 8-10 am. $5/person $15/family. A Park Naturalist will have an exciting presentation for the children.

After breakfast is our Glencarlyn Day Parade. This year’s theme is “PETS ON PARADE”. EVERYONE plan to BRING YOUR PETS, leashed of course, and if they will not be scared or aggressive in a crowd. Wear costumes, have your pet wear costumes! Decorate your bikes, strollers, wagons. We will have some decorations on the grounds of St Johns beginning at 11:15 am. The Parade kicks off promptly at 11:45 am.

Following the parade will be Storytime at the Library, with LOTS of fun activities planned. Look for the paw prints of the 101 Dalmatians! Our Annual Tour of Homes is Returning! Tours of theCommunity Library Garden and Ball Sellers House will also be given.

We will be collecting GCA DUES, $15/year, and selling apparel at the BBQ and Breakfast. For detailed information read the flyer HERE.
