Friday Evening, September 10th
5:00 – 8:00*	Glencarlyn Neighborhood BBQ — Carlin Hall Grounds 5711 4^th St — Kick off this Glencarlyn Weekend with our International BBQ. Family friendly event! Dinner will be provided by the GCA – suggested donation is $10 per person or $25 per family. Fun international games and activities. FREE ICE CREAM for kids at 6:30!! Live acoustic music provided by “Chasing Autumn”. There will be a 50/50 raffle with proceeds to benefit the Glencarlyn Citizens Association.
Saturday, September 11th
8:00 – 10:00*	Pancake Breakfast – RAIN OR SHINE at the shelter in park – at the bottom of the hill at the 3rd and Harrison Street entrance to the park ($5 a person – $15 maximum for families) Remember to bring money for GCA dues $15 (July 2021-June 2022). Checks are accepted. There will be a moment of silence at 9:37am to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks. A Long Branch Park Naturalist will be there with animals from 8:30-9:30 am
	Masking Recommended for All Indoor Activities per CDC Guidance
Glencarlyn Parade There will be an International theme for the parade. Please decorate your bikes, wagons, and strollers with items that reflect your culture.
11:15 – 11:45*	Parade Bike & Float Decorating Colored streamers and decorations will be available for decorating your stroller, bike, trike, wagon, or even your pet on a leash. Meet on Lexington between 4th & 5th
11:45 – 12:15*	Parade – begins promptly at 11:45 – features lots of kids of all ages, a fire truck, police cars, and international dancers. Route –4th & Lexington to 3rd – 3rd to Jefferson – Jefferson to 5th – 5th to Kensington – to the Library
12:15 – 12:45*	Story Time at Carlin Hall grounds, immediately following the Parade.
	Moon Bounce and sno-cones– Cancelled due to CDC masking guidance
12:30 – 2:00	Community Garden Tours behind the Library (3rd & S. Kensington). Tours by Master Gardeners of the various gardens including native plants, those used for cooking, for fragrance or beauty of their flowers or foliage. “Garden notecards” will be on sale. Garden questions welcomed.
1:00 – 4:00*	Historic Ball Sellers House – Open House – RAIN or SHINE 5620 3^rd St S. Tour the oldest building in Arlington County (c. 1742) and learn how it was built, who lived there and what their lives were like, and how Glencarlyn got its name. Free.
	Glencarlyn Home Tours– Cancelled due to CDC masking guidance
