VHC Wellness and Behavioral Health Facility Project Updates
Important Engagement Opportunities Next Week
VHC has submitted plans for a 146-bed facility on the south half of the 11-acre Arlington County property at 601 South Carlin Springs Road between the medical office building and our Glencarlyn neighborhood. Below are three opportunities next week for the community to show interest and share feedback
Kick-Off Meeting April 20th
The rescheduled VHC Wellness & Behavioral Health Facility (WBHF) Kick-Off Meeting is 7:00 PM Monday, April 20th at the Bozman Government Center (2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Room 307). County staff and VHC representatives will officially present the project to the community and explain the site plan review process. After the presentation representatives from VHC and various county departments will be stationed around for the room for “open house style” Q & A. Please mark your calendar and try to attend to reenforce that Glencarlyn is interested and eager to engage. Learn more about this event here.
- Date/Time: Monday, April 20, 2026 @ 7pm – 8:30 p.m.
- Location: Bozman Government Center, 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Room 307, Arlington, VA 22201
Online Engagement Survey Open April 21st – 30th
The 10-day Online Engagement Survey will be open from April 21st through April 30th. This is an easy way to share your perspective about how the VHC WBHF will integrate with and impact our community. Your opinions about safety, transportation, parking, the environment, historic preservation, future development and many other facets of the project matter. Please make your voice heard and respond to the upcoming survey.
Walking Tour April 24th
There will be a Walking Tour of the site at 12:00 PM April 24th starting in the parking lot at South Carlin Springs Road and 6th Road. This is a good opportunity to help visualize how the facility will be positioned on the site and integrate with our neighborhood and park. County staff, VHC representatives and other stakeholders will attend.
